We offer individual 60-minute lessons, the complete EDT course with 12 one-hour sessions, and reduced EDT with six one-hour sessions for approved learners. Pre-test lessons and driving test car hire are also available. Get in touch and we’ll help you choose the right option.
Where in Cork do you cover?
We’re based in Cork, with lessons focused on Wilton and the area around Wilton Driving Test Centre. Let us know where you’re based and we’ll confirm whether we cover your area and arrange a meeting point.
What’s included in the complete EDT course?
The course covers the 12 one-hour Essential Driver Training sessions, with an RSA Approved Driving Instructor and your EDT progress recorded. We work on observation, positioning, car control and safe decisions. You may need additional lessons and practice before you’re ready for the driving test. Read RSA guidance
Who can take the six-lesson reduced EDT course?
Reduced EDT is for eligible foreign licence holders who have received approval from the NDLS. It is not automatic. Show your instructor your approval letter before starting the reduced course. We can explain the next steps, while the NDLS decides whether you qualify. Read RSA guidance
How long should I book for a pre-test lesson?
We recommend at least 90 minutes so there’s time to cover the key parts of the test and discuss your driving. Sessions can be arranged from one to four hours, with longer preparation split over two days if needed. We’ll agree a plan around your test date and availability.
Can I hire your car for my driving test?
Yes, subject to availability. Tell us your test date, time and test centre before making arrangements. Pre-test lessons are charged separately; we’ll confirm the car booking and any requirements with you.
I didn’t pass my test. Can you help me prepare again?
Yes. Bring your driving test feedback report and we’ll work through the areas that need attention. Your lessons can focus on those points, with mock test practice and clear advice to help you prepare for your next attempt.
Do you offer manual and automatic lessons?
Our manual lessons take place in a Dacia Sandero. Automatic lessons may be possible in your own suitable car. Please get in touch first to check the vehicle requirements and availability.
How long is a regular driving lesson?
Individual and EDT lessons are 60 minutes each. Pre-test sessions can be longer, depending on what you need. We’ll confirm the duration, meeting point and price when arranging your booking.
How do I book a lesson?
Fill in the enquiry form, message us on WhatsApp or give us a call. We’ll get back to you to arrange a suitable time and meeting point. Your lesson is booked once we’ve confirmed the details with you.
I’m just starting out. Can you explain the next steps?
Of course. Tell us whether you have your learner permit, any previous driving experience and whether you’ve started EDT. We’ll help you understand where to begin and plan suitable lessons. Have your learner permit or driving licence details to hand when you enquire; we’ll confirm what you need to bring. Please don’t send identity documents through this form.
I’ve driven abroad. Can I take lessons?
Yes. We can help you get used to Irish roads, from roundabouts and road positioning to observation and the instructions used in the driving test. Tell us about your experience when you get in touch. Your licence and training requirements depend on your circumstances. Read RSA guidance
What if I need to cancel or change a lesson?
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or change a lesson. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged in full. Missed lessons are charged in full and are not refundable. Changes requested at shorter notice depend on availability and may be charged.
